Mark Visconti

Mark Visconti, Guitarist and Composer has studied composition with Grammy-award winning artists, Steve Vai and Joel Thome, world-renowned classical guitarist/composer, Benjamin Verdery and current Julliard Composition Faculty member, Shafer Mahoney. He also participated in the Aspen Music Festival and School as a member of it's classical guitar program under the tutelage of Sharon Isbin.

Mark's first full-length recording of original compositions written for solo steel-stringed guitar entitled Spark was released in 2003.

Mr. Visconti’s original composition, “Dancing About Architecture” written for guitar quartet, was recently performed by the esteemed guitar program at the Florida International University in Miami, Florida under the tutelage of Mesut Ozgen (fall 2014). “Architecture” has also been performed by guitar quartets at the Crane School of Music, and SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Music.

Mark has also composed music for the Glens Falls Symphony Orchestra (“Broken” - Cello Concerto, 2003) and the Nacre Dance Company from Saratoga, NY (Nursery Crimes).

Mark has performed in various bands, duos, and as a solo artist for over 20 years.

Mark’s newest release is entitled, “Painful Progress and Dreaming Ahead”.
